Come join us as we work to make Summitt more inviting to our native pollinators and kids by planting some trees and plants.
On the evening of October 13th, we will be tilling the expanded garden area and prepping for planting. (This is adult only work as we will be using heavy equipment.) Please bring water to drink and garden tools and gloves.
Areas we need help with:- Anyone who has a garden tiller to help with tilling- Anyone with a pickup truck willing to haul debris/tree limbs to the dump
On October 14th from 9-12noon we will be planting new plants and trees! The whole family is welcome at this event. Please remember- sunscreen, garden gloves and tools as well as water to drink. Let’s get the campus looking beautiful in time for Eagle Fest!
We also have special glasses to see the solar eclipse around 11:52am for those that join us so that will be an added bonus!
Most of our scouts have at least an elective that can be partially achieved by helping with plantings so if you are available consider joining us and the whole Summitt Community!
