NASA Sleep Over – 2/20/2010

Camp inside Space Center Houston! 

We will be going to NASA on Saturday, February 20th, 2010, for a one night sleep over.     This trip is for Bears and Webelos only

The cost will be approximately $47.50 per adult and $55 per scout. You can pay online through Paypal.

• The Webelos will complete the essential components of the Scientist Badge as they design a protective spacesuit for a shuttle astronaut, discover the effects of air pressure, and conduct activities involving Bernoulli’s Principle and Pascal’s law.
• The Bears will complete Space Arrow Points as they discover the planets in our Solar System, make a star wheel chart, build and launch a basic rocket, and learn about the constellations in the night sky in our brand new planetarium!!!

Let me know as soon as possible if you plan to attend.  We have plenty of slots reserved, but we need to confirm numbers by the first week of January.  You don’t have to pay at this point, we will collect the funds later.

Cub Scout dues (Recharter fees) are due for 2010 before the end of the year.

Unless you paid in September (fall fees were collected for 2010 for Tigers and new scouts), please pay the following amount;

Cub Scouts – $35
Webelos 1 Scouts – $35
Webelos 2 Scouts – $26 (your fee will transfer to Boy Scouts in February)
Registered Adults – $15

You can pay your den leader, Ron Allen (Pack 90 Treasurer),  drop off a check at my house , or pay online through Paypal (a $1 fee has been added to cover the online processing costs)

December Pack Meeting – Our December Pack Meeting will be held this Thursday December 17th, Summitt Cafeteria 6:30 – 7:30pm.  Everyone please attend if possible!

Pack Toy Drive – Bring an upwrapped toy to the Pack meeting for a donation we will make to “Children Blessing Children” for Christmas.

Pack Christmas Caroling – We are trying to get a group together to sing Christmas songs for the elderly at Heritage Duval Gardens on Monday or Tuesday of next week. Let me know if you are interested. More info at the Pack Meeting.

2010 Dues are payable now, please – Pay your den leader or pay at the pack meeting on Thursday: $35 for boys, $15 for registered adults. Tiger cubs and their adult partners have already paid through 2010, all other scouts and registered adults must pay, please.

We need adult volunteers for the following - Pack Committee Chairman, Pack Committee Members, Spring Family Campout coordinator, Scout Parade assistant coordinator, scout uniform closet coordinator. If you have not volunteered for an event or activity and want to get more involved, here is your chance…we need the help!
